In my paintings, I explore the relationship between line and space, using the basic shape of the circle. I love nature and the simplicity of such forms as the spirals and circle, and am working on drawing out a sense of depth and movement. I hope my paintings have a spiritual effect on the viewer, drawing them in and getting lost in the abstract world of color.

These paintings are all interrelated in that they are based upon one original "mother" piece. In subsequent pieces, I go deeper into the work and try to abstract and either simplify or complicate the line of the original work. Therefore, the works are relatives of each other, all lines based upon, and repeated, in the pieces. I use a somber palette of grays and blacks, never painting right from the tube, in order to maintain greater control of warmth and coolness. Then I use vibrant rich saturated colors to play with the balance of the medium-hued background.
